Biography
Before being part of the staff of STEM, Ana did her Bachelor of Science at James Cook University, Townsville, Australia. In Townsville, she joined the Latin American Student Association, and she acted as their president for one year. Moreover, because of her academic achievements, she was invited to join the Golden Key international Honour society.

She also did an Honours in Zoology at the University of Tasmania, Australia. She was part of a group of UTAS researchers collaborating with Greening Australia to restore wildlife to the Midlands region in Tasmania, Australia. Her research focused on studying species in fragmented habitats and emphasised in understanding what values at a local or landscape scale influence the presence or absence of semi-aquatic and riparian vertebrates in farm streams.

Now Ana has returned to her hometown, Queretaro and she is enjoying her time with friends and family. Her main hobbies are reading, travelling and cooking new dishes. She is hoping to continue with her education with a PhD degree, with a focus on conservation biology.
