Before being part of the Arkansas State University of Querétaro team, Yuriria was a professor in the Department of Marketing and Data Analysis and the Department of Entrepreneurship and Administration at the Tecnológico de Monterrey, campus Querétaro, from 2014 to 2019. Yuriria has mainly worked in digital communication and project management, mostly in federal agencies and universities. She is co-founder and consultant in marketing and communication at Planeador Consulting Services since 2017. Besides communication and marketing, Yuriria has worked a lot for human rights. She has been an activist with Amnesty International since 2012, with whom she has carried out, among other activities, design and execution of human rights defense and promotion workshops. Since 2019, she is a co-founder of the NGO Colectiva Juntas, an organization dedicated to help women in situations of violence. Also, she is secretary of the Citizen Council for the University System of Radio, Television and Cinematography of the Autonomous University of Querétaro (UAQ), since 2018.
